Hi, I’m Eileen Chang.

I am a qualified counsellor with a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and a professional background spanning adult education, vocational training, and pastoral support.

I founded Hope Is Mine Counselling to offer a safe, compassionate space for people walking through:

  • Stress and Anxiety

  • Migration & Cultural Adaptation

  • Motherhood & Gen Z Parenting

  • Career Reinvention & Life Transitions

  • Emotional Dsyregulation

  • Relationship challenges

  • Grief & Loss

My work is grounded in evidence‑based psychotherapy, and I am committed to providing a safe, respectful, and clinically informed space for individuals navigating emotional, relational, and life transitions.

My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strengths-based approaches and trauma‑informed practice. These evidence‑based frameworks allow me to support clients in understanding their experiences, strengthening emotional resilience, and developing practical strategies that align with their values and goals. Each session is tailored to the unique needs of the person in front of me, with careful attention to cultural, personal, and contextual factors.

As someone who has lived through migration, career reinvention, and the complexities of raising a family in a multicultural environment, I bring both clinical expertise and lived empathy to my work. I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, which enables me to support clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds with sensitivity and clarity.

Alongside my counselling practice, I have extensive experience as a trainer and assessor, supported by formal qualifications in vocational education, training design, and development. This background enables me to support organisations through tailored workshops, staff development sessions, and psychoeducational programs focused on emotional wellbeing, stress-management, resilience, and cross‑cultural understanding. My approach combines evidence‑based psychological principles with clear, accessible teaching to equip teams with skills they can apply immediately in their professional and personal contexts.

My commitment is to deliver ethical, evidence‑based care that honours each person’s story and supports meaningful, lasting change.
